There is a question I would like to ask you. The question is WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO?
For some of you; you may be getting ready for work, for some of you; you may be going to visit a family member or friend, or perhaps you are going to the shop, wherever it may be, you are on your way somewhere, even if it means sitting at home and you think that you aren’t going anywhere. Well the fact of the matter is that every single person born and who is alive is going somewhere. This is the fact of life. Do you know where you are going once your life comes to an end? No one likes to mention death or talk about it, but it is a reality in this life. There are only 2 places a person can go to, and that is either heaven or hell, there is no middle ground or grey area, it’s either up being heaven or down being hell.
What assurance do you have in your heart that should you die today you will go to heaven, where there is peace, joy, hope, rest and fellowshipping with the Father. People have written books and have testimonies of having passed away and gone to heaven where they have experienced God’s love, joy, peace and they didn’t want to come back. Other people also have testimonies of dying and going to hell where they have experienced severe torment and felt hopeless and lost for eternity and when they came back they were not the same, they travel around the world sharing their testimony. I don’t want to scare you but this is the reality of life and once this life has gone which is temporal anyway where will you go, will it be heaven or hell?
Every morning you wake up with a choice to make in going to work, or stay home, but when you know that you will be benefitting out of the choice that you make you decide to get up and go to work, because you know that at the end of the month you can pay bills, put food on the table, live a comfortable life; well what about making the right choice for yourself for eternity? Is your eternal home going to be a place of peace, love, joy or a place of hopelessness and torment? The Bible tells us that “God desires that no man perish but that all come to a saving knowledge of Him”. The scripture tells us the desire of God’s heart is that you know Him and not die.
You are important to God and you are created in His image; and He sent His only Son Jesus to die on the Cross for you. God has a purpose for your life; please don’t let your life go to waste. You are so valuable to God that He sent His only Son to die for you. Is there anyone in this world that you know who would give their life for you? If not then how valuable are you to God since He gave His only Son for you. Jesus lived His whole life sold out to see people become disciples, grow in the knowledge of His Father and live for Him. Who are you living for? Is it a house, work, money promotion. What are you living for? Jesus knew Who He was living for, He was living for His Father and for you, yes you because HE DIED TO GIVE HIS LIFE for YOU in this temporal world so that You could LIVE for ETERNITY in heaven. The ultimate gift of sacrificial LOVE. Jesus made the most loving and powerful decision to leave heaven, come to earth, live for 33 years and willingly give His life for all of mankind. He knew WHO He was; His purpose and where He was going. Do you know where you are going? What choice are you making right now?
Jesus is waiting for you, there is nothing that is hidden from Him, and He knows everything about your life. You don’t have to worry or say that I will need to change this first and then I’ll come to Him. No! Jesus says come as you are and I will take care of the rest, don’t worry about anything, allow me to remove those things which have hindered your progress in this life and allow me to give you newness of life and abundance for that is the reason why I came, to give life in abundance, to the full and overflowing. Don’t stop now let me be your Shepherd to watch over you, provide for you, to love you and care for you. For I AM all things to all men, allow ME to be what I AM for you right now.
